Waiting on You!

Have you ever been trying your best to get something done?
Have you ever had something important you needed to go according to plan but didn’t for whatever reason?
Last time, I talked about worry. I want to go off of that a little bit but change directions into another area that comes from worry: FEAR

Now, fear isn’t always connected to being afraid of someone or something. A lot of times when we worry too much about something, we ended up fearing what might / might not happen due to our situation or decisions. It’s easy to fear things like this. In reality, we end up making the worst decisions of lives because of fear. We make decisions because of what the situation looks like or better yet what others are going to think. This where faith comes in...

“..Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you.”
Praying and Believing in God that he’ll turn your situation around is what dropping fear and gaining faith is all about. Fear can’t take what you do not give it. So what is faith?
Basically, Faith is believing despite what it looks like.
But in the same way, when you have fear you also still have faith.
What???
What I mean is, Fear is faith that things won't work out for you. When you have worry and don’t believe that things can change, fear is your faith!!
“Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. “
Think of things that you are going through and think…
Have I been worrying too much? Have I given this situation to God so he can take it off my shoulders?
If not, talk to him. Trust him and not yourself. He’s waiting on you!

DUECES

What do you do when your life doesn't go how you planned it to go? Better yet...
What do you do when God's plan/will for you leaves you confused?
..when he didn't do what you thought he was going to do..when you thought he would do it..

I'll tell you what most college students / young adults do... They Worry!

Matthew 6:25-34
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Here, God is telling is us that he takes care of the things that walk the earth.(Example: animals, plants, etc)
In this case, he mentions the birds. If he takes care of them, won't he that much take care of us in any situation that we're in? He continues on by saying,

31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

In other words, God is telling us not to be occuppied with being worried or to question how things will work out. In verse 32, he mentions that that is how pagans/ the world thinks. But he tells us after that we should seek him first and all the things that we've been asking for and seeking after will be given to us!

In other words, you don't have to chase after the things that you desire.
(like a career, material things, money, a boyfriend/girlfriend, etc)

When you seek God first and trust in him, all those things will come your way and begin to chase after you!!!

Ok so.. How Do I know if I'm worrying?
Well worrying is simply this.

Worry- when you keep thinking the same thought over and over again without taking action to it!

- Take Action! Do something about your current situation.

Pray about it, Give it to God, and then Let it Go!

I say this because once you can do this you can have the opposite of worry: And that's "Peace"
When you don't let go of a situation and continue to worry, you will never have peace.
That's why when people seek things and put their life into things, they become half-way depressed /upset for weeks and months when they lose it. (ex: break of bf/gf, lose of stuff or desires, etc.)
People seem to loose their minds when they lose things like this. It's all because they don't seek God first and place their peace in their stuff or desires.

What are you holding on to thats keeping you from saying "Deuces" to worry.
